Eco Man may or may not be gay

I’ve been skimming through the increasing debate surrounding Midtown EcoEnergy’s plans for either, depending on what side you take, “a dependable, healthy, local energy solution” or “trash burner”. And honestly it’s a pretty boring discussion, unless you’re really into the details of renewable energy solutions.

Then yesterday I came home, checked the mail, and found a mailer from the Midtown Ecoenergy group with this picture on the front:

That’s “Eco Man”, the superhero mascot for the group who fights against, um, pollution I guess.

But hold on. Doesn’t that light blue spandex outfit look familiar?

That’s right, Eco Man looks like the long lost maybe-gay cousin of The Ambiguously Gay Duo. Granted, Eco Man has that blue eco-cape and doesn’t wear gloves…
