Plastic bottles filled with liquid and tin foil exploded in front of two Coon Rapids residences the night of May 22.
One incident was reported on the 13100 block of Jay Street N.W. at 10:15 p.m. and the other on the 13200 block of Crocus Street N.W. at 11:07 p.m.
The plastic bottles and their contents were the same in each case and the Coon Rapids Police Department believes the suspects in both incidents are the same.
On Jay Street, the plastic bottle exploded on the grass in the front yard, damaged some grass, but no one was hurt.
At the Crocus Street address, the homeowner heard a loud noise, opened the front door and saw that two plastic bottles had exploded on his front step.
No damage was done and no one was hurt.
A neighbor on Crocus Street saw two juvenile males place two items on the front step, then run away.
