Christine O’Donnell interview: ‘The Republicans have lost their way’
Pope Benedict XVI flies in amid row over aide’s race remarks

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on the above photo of Christine O’Donnell that the Guardian has on their front page.  Does it paint the ‘US Right’ in an unfair light? Are newspapers and websites unnecessarily editorializing when they use this photo that makes her look undoubtedly silly? Especially with a tease about her views on masturbation?  To be perfectly clear, POLITICO may have used that photo on our site also, so we’re not exempting ourselves from the discussion, just want to hear your thoughts.
From what we can see so far, no US papers have led with this photo of her. We haven’t put this shot on our home page, but that’s not to say it hasn’t shown up on the site somewhere.

For real?  That’s a totally appropriate picture for O’Donell.  Thinking that she, as a candidate, reflects poorly on the American Right — well, she does, and it’s because of her previous and current statements.  That’s not hard.  And so, if there’s any reporting in that article, that’s a pretty appropriate photo, including the editorializing.  You wouldn’t want to run a picture of Alvin Greene where he’s looking all professional in front of a law library, it’s not accurate.
Look, when you have guys like Gov. Arne Carlson going endorsing the independent in the MN gov’s race because the GOP candidate isn’t from the right on politics but is a kooky neo-con with changing politics of self-interest and an inability to play well with other politicians, there should really be more pictures like this of “the American Right”.
